Stone Age Caves (19.9.16)

This week Oak Class have been looking at the Stone Age. After seeing lots of different cave paintings we found mostly animals and hand prints in brown, black and orange. Everyone thought these might have been made using mud. So Oak Class set out to make our own cave paintings using mud and water outside. It was very messy!

Following this we read The Stone Age Boy and Oak class were quite scared of the big brown bear. Some of us wrote speech bubbles for the boy saying ‘Go away you nasty bear!’ and ‘Ahh run away!’. We decided to make our own cave with a big fire inside it to keep away the ‘scary, horrible’ bear.
