Achievement for All – Quality Mark Award

A national accolade for quality has been awarded to Cedars Academy for our work in improving the well-being, resilience and self-esteem of our pupils.

We are delighted to announce that our school has been awarded Quality Mark status, recognizing our work on Achievement for All’s four elements to raise the educational outcomes and well-being of every child, particularly those vulnerable to underachievement.

The Quality Mark Award recognises the impressive work being done by the school to improve progress in reading, writing and maths for all pupils.

Cedars has been working in partnership with Achievement for All since 2014 and has seen a marked improvement in many aspects including working with parents and carers on children’s targets as part of the AfA framework.

Peter Keane, Deputy Regional Lead for Achievement for All said:

“I was delighted to see that as a result of your hard work, Cedars Academy has been awarded the Achievement for All Quality Mark. Congratulations on reaching this nationally recognised accreditation.

Please pass on our congratulations to the staff, children and governors, and accept our good wishes for a productive continuing relationship in pursuit of our shared mission to create a world in which all vulnerable and disadvantaged children and young people can develop their skills, interests and capabilities to achieve.”

Katharine Alley, the Achievement for All Coach for the school said,

“It has been a real pleasure working with Cedars Academy. Their determination to achieve the very best for all of the children and their commitment to work in partnership with their parents has been clear throughout the programme.”
