Community and Sport Development Officer

Cedars Academy plays a very active role in the local community. Our Community and Sport Development Officer (CSDO) works directly with a number of key partners both locally and nationally to help enhance the opportunities on offer to our students. These include:

Community and Sport Development Officer roles:

  • support the delivery of the Youth Sport Trust Project Ability programme in Tyne and Wear;
  • support Gateshead School Sports Partnership with the delivery of their disability sport programme including competition structure, CPD and young leader training;
  • deliver after-school clubs for Gateshead Kestrels and develop the club through the provision of new activity;
  • assist Cedars Academy in teaching and learning across the curriculum;
  • complete bid/grant applications and organise fund raising activity on behalf of Cedars Academy and Gateshead Kestrels.
