On Wednesday 11th November a selection of students were kindly invited to Joseph Swan Academy to see a Spitfire Plane as part of the Armistice Day commemorations.
Bethany reported, 'The visit was really really good. The guy told us how it is made.'
Vanesa commented, 'It was really fascinating. The plane is massive! Mrs Forster even sat in it.'
Mrs. Forster said that it was an amazing experience!
Everyone enjoyed seeing a real artefact from the Second World War, particularly as they have been learning about Britain during WW1 and 2 in their History GCSE and Entry Level courses.
