Chinese New Year

This week Oak class have been celebrating Chinese New Year. We have sung lots of different songs and learned all about where Chinese New Year comes from. After naming all the animals we looked at our birthdays and which animals we are. There were lots of boars and rats! We went to visit Chinatown in Newcastle to see the restaurants and decorations. Everyone was surprised to see there were live fish in the supermarket when buying some prawn crackers and fortune cookies to share. Following this Oak class made their own dragons to dance with before decoration rooster biscuits.

Happy New Year!
